New Bellett Owner Brisbane

Post by rusty_dagger »

Hi All

After a long search I have managed to take possession of a 1968 Bellett. I have been told it is the Deluxe version but I don't really know a lot about the car just yet. It is in very original condition.
There are a few things that need work but first off I need to work on the brakes and door seals. Already I have found a lot of good information on this forum.
We had a Bellett for a long time as our family car so I am really happy to get one as it is bringing back a lot of good memories.
I will post up some more pic later.

Welcome to the forum
Beautiful little sedan you've acquired.
Where in Brisbane are you?
I'm just north of Brissy at Stanmore (Woodford area) there are a few Bellett owners in the Brisbane area so it's nice to know there is now another.

That is a real beauty mate, not much to be done by the looks of things. She doesn't look to be a deluxe though, as they have tinted glass and stainless door window frames, which is the giveaway. Base models were just so well equipped in the day! Other deluxe bits include soft armrest style door pulls, roof mount panic handles, fan assisted heater, 2 speed wipers, clock beside the combination meters and badging. There were "Deluxe equipment" examples with dealer fitted fresh air heater, radio and carpet mats. Autos had these bits standard.
Regardless you have a beautiful car that I hope we will see at some future National meet.
Welcome!
Cheers, Matt.
