G200W budget track prep, Need exhaust info and cams.

Post by gt alex »

Hi, I have owned a Opel GT and a G200W and planed to marry the two for a long time but didn't have a gearbox but thanks to one of your members I bought several Bellett boxes.

So I started to get serious now that I'm retired and started on the body work and as you might guess a 50+year old sports car it's rough under a 1 to 4 cm thick cover of bog so I have done a online paint and panel course.
Since the car will never be a 100point resto I have decided to make it a race replica and I want it to go hard without spending a fortune.

I built a jig to emulate the engine bay to help set up the twincam ready for install.

But the exhaust has always been the hick up.
I have just started my second headers to day, its very like the standard manifold with 1 5/8" primary pipe size and 1 3/4 secondary pipes and thinking 2 1/4 system.
Question is will this perform how long should the secondary pipes be.
I would like to run cams, does someone have some semi race cams they might sell?

This is the car I am copying, https://tinwizard.de/shop/en/tin-wizard ... v9dCEyKLeA
