chassis/engine number

Post by miss_bellet »

Hey guys,

i'm just filling in my bay to birdwood entry form and its asking my chassis no & engine number.

My chassis number is: PR 20-4074781 & on my rego sticker it says G150390664 but when i researched on the
internet there was nothing matching that..

Just wondering if anyone can help or if im just a dumbass 8-)

Hi Monnie,

With SA rego, most cars sold before about 1980ish will often have the chassis number noted as "not recorded", while they will usually have the engine # recorded.

Don't worry about informing the rego dept because it means that ever you have to do a dodgy on a body shell you can get away with it 100% legally!

Yay!! Yay for dodgy SA rego!

But yeah, make sure you fill that in for the B2B paperwork otherwise they send it back! Not sure why they need it - might be to do with their liability laws or something.

Cheers,

Dave

Great to hear you decided not to sell & that you'll be at the nats - I'm keen to see another sweet preserved "nana" car. :D
And good news, Rod.
Bring 'em on - the more the merrier! ;)
Cheers, Matt.
