Engine mounts refurbished

Post by A.J. »

Thought I'd put this up in time for visitors to Adelaide in the coming weeks who might want a 'new' set of engine mounts. I am having some done at the moment by A &A IGLIO Engineering who has already made the block to re-rubber them in high quality rubber, unlike what was used in the first place.
Contact details are; 8 Hill Street, Wingfield. SA 5013
ph/fax 08 8243 2016 mobile; 0412 293 940
email; [email protected]
This man specializes in building or rebuilding harmonic balances so he knows what he's doing with regards to joining bits of metal to rubber.
Hope this is of some help.

To follow on from A.J. ...
Here is a picture of the refurbished/rebonded engine mount with good modern rubber.

Cost is $75.00 for each mount.

Cheers

Just fixing up a few links and adding details.

These are new steering rack rubbers from Iglio Engineering.

They are/or were $80.00 for the pair.
These are made in good modern rubber.

Note a small piece needs to be trimmed off to fit the cross-member on the drivers side (Australia).

nicely done it would be way to pricey to buy this one in online shops. It would be better to take the whole thing and refurbish it with some tools in your garage.

They certainly look the part, has anyone used them as yet?
Does he need an original set to refurbish?
I am interested for sure!

I believe the Engine Mounts are on a swap old for new, plus the $80 for each mount.
Allows more sets to be then done ready for Customer(s).

Reckon they will never wear out!!

Originals used quite poor rubber compound :|

Your old mounts are refurbished,

that is the old crappy rubber removed, then blasted, new rubber bonded on and repainted.
I have a set on Bella, GToo has a set on the blue car, (i thought you put a set on one of your cars Oz?)

They are brilliant, I'm getting another set done for Ursula.

Ursula...

Ba ba ba humbug

Sneezy, need i say more

Sleepy, is still due some body repairs

Dopey, engine still needs completing

Doc, waiting on rust and welding of sub-frame

Grumpy, is the only non-isuzu and boy do we know it!

Bashful, is yet to show his face

Happy, is running real well but may need front springs and gearbox swapped out

try remembering that lot?
